he's trying to kill himself...

Postby c.t.,girl » Sun Mar 06, 2005 1:58 pm

please pray for my friend sean at school...he's been cutting his wrists and arms...for some reason he'll only talk to me about it...i asked him why he's been doing this he says, "i got mad..." his dad just accepted Christ and sean and his brother are the ones to convert him...sean's also been...acting like he just...doesn't care anymore...just...pray for him...he needs a lot of prayers...i don't want him to keep hurting himself...i told one of my friends at school about it...she said that she'll keep an eye on him...and if either of us start to see things going bad...then...we'll tell a pastor...or someone...but...i know sean needs to talk to someone...other than me...just...pray for him...and for me...i don't wanna lose another friend...

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

I totally have been there and done that. Be careful because cutting is addictive. Try and get his mind on other things and away from thinking of cutting. If he knows he has an outlet to go to besides cutting, it'll help. Conversion would GREATLY help too! I totally understand this situation and he and you are DEFINITELY in my prayers!

Perhaps God has sent Sean to you so that you may help him through this, since you can understand how he's feeling. Perhaps this is a blessing for both of you from the Lord. I'll pray for your friend and you, Chris, in however God leads you in helping your friend.

rogie_san is right, Chris. You might be the one to minister to your friend 'cause you've been in his shoes. I would still advise you to be careful, even though you have overcome your struggles. It is easy to get pulled back into what you came out of. I'm praying, hon. Luv ya, CA girl.

I will keep both of you in my prayers, and I really hope that things turn around for you soon. Don't lose hope! God really loves you ^_^....he's looking out for you and Sean, and everything that's happening has a reason behind it (I know you already know this, but it always helps me to hear it from someone else)

It's a shame to see people, kids or young adults put their life in harms way purposely. I wish that more people would recognize that there are people out there that really do care for them. I will keep your friend Sean in my prayers. Continue to give him words of encouragement and hope. Make it present that there are people who care deeply for him and his presences on earth- including Jesus. I'll will also keep your friend m in my prayers.
