An angry friend and his kids

Postby Yojimbo » Mon Jan 03, 2005 7:07 pm

A friend of mine in Minnesota, Kyle Bermgaten, just put a message up on our message boards earlier today.

Just letting you all know about it in advance.

I got a call this morning from Michelle, she was crying and hiding in a closet talking on her cell phone. I could hear a guy screaming in the background. Turns out he threw her down a flight of stairs and beat her up pretty bad. That in and of itself isn’t so bad to make me freak out, But it was what he did to my son that is making me hunt him down and find him. I get there and michelle has both kids in the closet with her, he had taken off to work. My son has a big bruise on his chest the size of my hand, and there is carpet burns on his chest elbows and knees. Michelle has a broken leg and they are all crying their eyes out.

I WILL not let this go unpunished by my hand. I know where he hangs out every night and i am going there to set one thing straight. I will show him and all his friends what it means to lay hands on my family. He will regret the day that this has ever happened.

So to make a long story short, I have allowed michelle to grab what she could out of her apartment and come back home till she can either find a new place here or move in with her parents. While tonight i will be going out and taking care of something that needs to be taken care of.

Kyle has had probably the hardest life of any person I've ever known. He's an ex-Ranger and lost the use of his left arm in Somalia. His ex-wife is honestly one of the most wicked people on the face of the planet. (long long story) He found out he had cancer last year. (thankfully they caught it early enough to wear they'll be able to remove it) His father died earlier this year and a month after that he was nearly killed by a drunk driver. He's been very depressed this year for obvious reasons and his kids are what really keeps him going.

I know he's gonna go beat the living snot out of this guy. But sadly I honestly want him to do it. I know it's not the lawful thing to do but I really want him to kick the crap out of that guy. I don't know just pray for Kyle that he doesn't get arrested, and his kids are alright they're all he has left.

I'll pray for him and everyone else involved. I hope no one else will be hurt during this situation, on either side of the conflict.

Well Kyle went and beat him within an inch of his life. He said the guy was pleading for his life blubbering and crying. The guy has 4 broken ribs, 2 dislocated ribs, 5 broken fingers, cartiladge torn in his right hand, a dislocated elbow, a broken nose, and a hyper extended knee. That's what the ambulance guys in from the hospital told him. They just came and picked his ex and his kids and took them to the hospital. The police didn't even question him they just wanted to talk to his ex-wife about the guy. The guy has a very nasty record of drug violations and domestic abuse. Compared to Kyle's spotless record and very highly regarded military service record. He had what was coming to him. I'm actually very glad he beat the living snot out of that guy as cruel as that sounds. He'll be getting jail time if Kyle's ex presses charges and he won't be beating on anymore kids for a good long time... Domestic abusers always get it the worse in prison too.

Now don't think badly of Kyle he's actually a very timid and nonviolent guy. He's let himself be taken advantage of for much of his life and was never that good at sticking up for himself. He's a real nice guy and has never been in a fight since leaving the service. But I'm sure all you parents out there would understand how you would feel if your 5 year old son was beaten by a man.
