My mother

My mother has serious problems with anything I do or watch. She is eager to demonize anything (including certain Christian bands) from anime to computer games. Some of these restrictions are reasonable (because Moms usually know best), but she shuts harmless stuff out of the house (which she thinks is "demonic") but lets some of the really bad stuff in (which she thinks is "fine")

I've been trying to explain to her that different people have different areas of weakness...but she doesn't get it. She goes on CAA after I told her that there were objective reviews there, she first says their "biased" then click a random one (Ah! My Goddess, by the way) and starts saying all anime is bad because of one scene noted under Sexual somethingorother.

It wouldn't be so bad if she understood what I was saying and just said "no" to anime...but she is just really confused and I can't find a way to explain it to her.

I'd appreciate prayer for God's will in this...thanks guys.

eh im not sure i understand what you are saying? she doesnt want you to listen to christian music and wants to make everything demonic or she thinks everything is demonic? well whatever the reasons i will pray for youre mothers understanding

Parents can get like that sometimes; they worry that something they don't understand or know about is having a negative, sinful effect on their children. Despite how good a kid you are, parents still tend to worry and fret. Although I don't understand your situation completely, if I were you, I would just accept it as love (although I know that it's hard to see it that way -- it can be for me!) and to be patient, waiting for God to reveal a way to explain it to your parents or for someone else to do so.

Now I've got to shape up and practice what I preach: I need to consider my parents in this way, too, more and more.

rogie_san pretty much explained everything...your mother's complaints about "demonic" material are a weird form of love. Just try to keep explaining things (did the same with my parents) and they'll understand eventually. I'll pray!!
