Graduation and kittens

Two requests here. x_x

Tomorrow I have my graduation party. While some people think those are the greatest things ever, I'm not a huge people person, and if anything, it just means LOTS of running around.

Gotta run up to the school to watch my other classmates graduate (I got homeschooled the last three or four years) and then come home for my own party. While I'm thankful I get some cake and money, at the same time...God knows I'm just unsure of what to say to people. The fact that I'm not going to college next year (and don't know if I ever will) just makes me feel worse.

Most people anymore tend to give you bad looks and whatnot if you don't go to college. I mean, chances are I will, but for now I'm just gonna stay home. My faith in God and my boyfriend are higher up on my life right now, and my parents have no problem with me just getting a job and sticking around. Still though, I'm very sensitive, and a little worried about how it will go...plus feeling distant from God right now isn't helping things. So I guess that's two prayers in one.

Also on the kitten subject...about a week ago my aunt and uncle came into posession of kittens. Their mother died, and now only two are left. Right now they seem to be doing ok (just opened their eyes a day or so ago and apparently are eating like horses), but I don't want them to die. They're so cute and I feel so bad for them...

Deciding not to do college now is ok. Don't let anyone make you feel rushed into such a decision. Working while you're figuring things out is a good thing to do. You're not any less of a person by not going straight to college. That decision is between you and God. Take a deep breath and relax. You'll do fine and you've got a good head on your shoulders. :)
As for the kittens, being so young and away from their mom is going to make for a rough start --but kittens can make it being that young. The cat at my vet's office was bottle-raised and she's healthy and gorgeous. I'm pulling for the little kittens too---I love kitties!
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

College has become a culture and societal expectation, but just landing there because you don't have anything else planned is a bad way to spend a couple thousand grand. If you're not ready to make good on the investment, don't go, yet or otherwise.

And I'll pray for the kittens. ^_^
