I'm so tired...

Postby Sheenar » Tue Feb 12, 2008 8:55 am

I'll try to make this short --I already have too many threads on here...

My foot (the one I had surgery on) kept waking me up all night last night hurting really badly. It still is hurting really badly.
I decided to stay home from classes and work to try to rest, but I tried to lay in my recliner and sleep, but it started hurting worse, so I got up.

I haven't had to take narcotics for the pain since the week of my surgery, but if it doesn't get better soon, I may need to take some so I can sleep tonight.

Please pray for good rest and for the pain to go down. Thank you.

Don't avoid the meds too much, they give you them for a reason. Praying.

praying.
Footprints in the sand by Carolyn Joyce Carty

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of foot prints in the sand: one belonging to him the other to the lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the foot prints in the sand.

He noticed that name times along the path of his life there was only one set o footprints.

He also noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the lord about it:

"lord, you said once i decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But i have noticed during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of foot prints. I dont understand why when i needed you most you would leave me."

The lord replied:

"My son, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that i carried you."

In response to SPI,
I know the meds are there for a reason, I just don't want to get addicted and they were mainly for that first week when the pain was so intense.
Also, they make my stomach sick which is why they gave me anti-nausea medicine to go with it.:P
I'm doing a little better. Hopefully it will feel well enough tonight to sleep. My stomach already feels a little nauseous, so hopefully I won't have to take the pain medicine.

Thank you for your prayers!
