Family conflict

Postby SnEptUne » Fri Feb 08, 2008 10:35 pm

I have a big family, and was proud of how well people turns out to be, until a few years ago when my uncle had problem with his wife, who were divorced now.

My ex-aunt used to pay all the bill including rent, which my parents would also pay for. Since she divorced, she stopped paying the rent but didn't leave the house. My father got very upset with her not paying/leaving that they would argue a lot. My ex-aunt would "accidentally" locked my father out of the house when he went outside, and eventually they got into a heated argument. My father pushed her daughter and she sued him. We don't have the extra money to get lawyer for such civil charges, so he was forced to accept the charge for child offense, in return my ex-aunt cannot stay in the house anymore.

Now, a year later, my uncle got into bankruptcy. My father wanted him out of the house for the same reason since he isn't paying the rent even though he has money. They often yell at each other and threatened to kill each other. My father wouldn't eat with anyone anymore because he doesn't want to be poisoned and is living a sheltered life. Because of the problem with rent, father wanted to sell the house but no one wanted that, and thought everyone ganged up on him. My mother would yell at him for being uncivil and how she didn't do anything when he invested (i.e. gambled) away her life saving and having external affair, and he would stop eating for days. Recently, he started cutting off cable lines of my uncle because he wouldn't leave. What should I do?

I don't have any advice to give, but I will say I will pray for your situation...
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Thanks. I guess I will try to talk to my father about it when he got out of his room.
