For a long time now I've been in this religious club, and for a long time now, we've had a member who always causes trouble. His beliefs are very controversial and he's always striving to debate. Even when we constantly tell him to stop making arguments out of everything, he won't knock it off, instead he just goes off and tells us that "debate needs to happen" and all this bull...
So what should we do? On one side of things we want to give him a chance, but we've given him like...ten chances by now! Furthermore, it's very unlikely his views will change. He refuses to budge and the rest of us refuse to budge. It's a never ending fight and the only person who seems to enjoy it is him--the rest of us HATE debating. Even the few members who are pretty good debators don't seem like they want to spend their time aruging like this...it's just annoying and draining...
So it sounds like the best thing is to kick him out right? Well...again, it's just one of those situations where you worry. I mean, this isn't just a regular club or something, it deals with God, and you really don't wanna turn somebody away if their beliefs are that messed up...so any advice? What should we do?
I really want to kick this guy out, and so do most of the other members, but even then, I have no IDEA what to say to him. It's hard enough to kick somebody out, but somebody who's very well spoken? Somebody who likes to fight? If I say one wrong word I'll be tossed to the wolves! Just...gah.
I know CAA struggles with these type of situations too, so if any mods have any advice, that'd be really nice. I've prayed so much over this, but I'm still unsure what to say or if kicking him out is the best course of action.
