I won't bore you with details, but here's the summary.
I am a member of the Autism Speaks forums. There to give advice to parents who want to listen. It's ok when other spectrum adults give advice, but evidentally a certain member thinks I have zero credibility because I never got an official diagnosis.
But I'm not a liar. I never misrepresent myself. Many autistic adults NEVER get diagnosed, for a variety of reasons.
I was warned about this person from someone else, and I ignored the advice. Consider this a lesson learned.
I told them all I would come back after I get approved for Medicaid and get an autism evaluation from a specialist, but I don't even know if I'll do that now.
Oh, and another thing. This person's attacks against me (and him denying any wrongdoing) resulted in me having a major meltdown. Not a pretty sight.
