he really needs prayer :(

Postby Tenshi no Ai » Thu Nov 08, 2007 10:58 am

One more topic I must make, because things are ALWAYS better when more than one people pray...

My boyfriend, is the most unlucky person I know (it there really is such thing as 'luck'). He's not perfect, just like any other person, he's not Christian, but he's been in more tight jams than anyone I've known... Unlucky situations in the past had all his belongings stolen and money dry out from a city too expensive to live in. That was just a little over a year ago.

When we worked at the same place (where I'm still at -_-) he was unhappy there, his hours were cut, and he was making less than me and could hardly afford alot. I help out to pay for gas when I can, since he drives me around and I don't have my license yet. I know, he's not the best with saving money and he went on a little tattoo spree a bit back when he started with it. But, he quit the job to try to find a better place to work with more money. Guaranteed a job with good pay, no call back (and apparently this happened to another friend of mine too). Got another job with not bad pay but this week... got WAY too low an amount on his check, because I still can't calculate how it's even fair, and then got pulled over by the cops since he didn't have his N (a Canadian thing in the back of cars to show that you don't have your full license) and got a fine just because it wasn't on (could've got lost, jacked by a kid, or whatever :/) and now he's broke again...

A bit of a story there, but it saddens me to know jut HOW unfortunate one can be... I'm living at home trying to save up money and he's living back at his home still, because he doesn't have nearly enough money to be on his own and afford rent... Not with these jobs :/ I know he's only getting these small-time jobs because of the no money, but it goes bye-bye SO quick when you have to pay for gas and insurance etc...

I want him to be happy with where he works, and find a job where he can make a DECENT amount... Only then can his frustration and tension loosen with the financial situation he's in. He's a hard worker, I know. I just wish and hope... that something fortunate will come across him for once: a job that will give him enough where he doesn't have to worry about being broke every week...

So thank you if you take the time to read this, I pray for him every day, even if he doesn't understand/believe in it. I hope one day he'll somewhat understand my beliefs, but until then I ask for prayer regarding this tough situation. I do what I can to help, but I ask for more in help in prayer with this... I hate to see him down because of things like this, it hurts me too.... :(

Well, perhaps without getting too "preachy" you might point out that God really likes it when people figure out that they can't do it all themselves and need God's help. He's obviously in a spot in his life (at the bottom) where it might be time to look to God for help. Now, God is NOT punishing him or creating this condition. But as long as he's in that spot, perhaps divine assistance is in order. One of the side benefits of Christianity is fellowship, which sometimes brings with it assistance from all sorts of angles, including jobs.

Praying for you both.

SP1 is right, mini me. I know you've discussed this here, and online, about waiting for the right time to share more of your faith with him. I think this is the time, hon. We're all here for you and praying for you. Don't pass this up.

Indeed. No, getting saved won't magically fix money problems and rotten luck, but they'll certainly be easier to deal with in the light of a personal relationship with his creator. Right?

I think... in his case it's going to be one of those things where it'll take years to even explain my understanding of things. One way I do try and do things, is let him know that I'm always here to help. Sure, a common saying, but one of those things that can eventually show a person's love (and faith) through actions etc. It's hard to really explain...

Just hard with him being so in debt to many, due to the out of city incident, owing his parents for insurance (and they are already in debt, living out in the country etc), and they might even sell 'his' car, which is his only means of transportation, and I don't even have my license yet. Not fair with his sisters being THE MOST selfish person I have ever known, makes ALOT of money and gets away with EVERYTHING. He is so the opposite and I swear one day I'll probably snap in front of her (although she'd probably spazz through it all :/)

So yeah family life is really hard concerning it all. Just really hoping that he'll be able to have a good job and be financially settled for once in his life... And yeah, I'll do what I can with explaining things to him, but it will take a while. I'll do what I can, and once again prayers are very appreciated. Spent some time at his place today and was in tears because of things in family standings (sister etc) just isn't fair... It's sad, it really is :/

*pauses and thinks for a moment* I really wish I had the words for what I'd like to say...

I will most certainly be praying.
