i know this isnt a really really important prayer request but i would appreciate it if some of you could pray for me... i have just started college and i have to admit i have easy classes... but being in college is different and hard for me because i have been homeschooled since third grade so i've never been in a class full of people. i'm not anti-social but i am shy....and i get really nervous and tense around people....so i feel alittle overwhelmed by it all... i'm starting to get into the groove of things but i still feel alittle out of place and awkward.... just please pray i settle down and get used to this all soon. i dont handle stress barely at all and in the past i've cut and had huge blow-ups because of stress... i can already feel the stress starting to pile on..... theres a few other reasons why.... but please pray that i get used to this soon.

I know almost EXACTLY how you feel about the shyness thing. I've been homeschooled since 1st grade, and I started college this year. It's a state college, and it's really big. I've been able to talk to some people but being shy is still a little bit of an issue for me; and I can't stand awkward silences, because they're so...awkward. But anyways, I'll definitely keep you in my prayers. Remember, even if we freshmen aren't at the same college, we're all in this "new experience" thing together.

Will be praying...I've been homeschooled all my life, and I'm going to be going to college relatively soon...My natural tendancy is also to be shy when I'm in groups of ppl I don't know...But with God's help I'm trying to reach out more, and I know with Gods help you can do the same...

Yeah, I'm praying for you. Consider something though: There are so many people in your situation that there are even some feeling that way in YOUR school, in YOUR classes. What that means, is that if you just have enough courage to break the ice a little, many people will appreciate it - some might become really great friends.

Looking back at some of the best friends I have, without a little bit of courage from them or from me, we might never have spoken to each other, and we would've completely lost out. Besides, the worst thing that can happen isn't really all that bad is it?
