Big Request

Postby Ratrace » Fri Sep 22, 2006 7:41 pm

I have a big request here.
Scotland used to be known for two things, inventors and missioneries. This was a while ago. These days many of the people with skills in science and enginering emigrate to find work, while in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland, less than 1 in 100 people are christian. 0.something percent. I think that needs some prayer.

It does need prayer...that's not a statistic good ol Scotland should have...

Well, Scotland is now in my prayers...

I will pray. This seems to be a trend everywhere, not just Scotland. "Lukewarm" Christianity is spreading like a disease.

Indeed, there are so many places around the world where Christianity is fading. But don't get too discouraged, because there are also many places where it is throbbing with vitality! I will be praying.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€

WOW!
That's sick. I'll be praying!
And yes, when I went to mallorca, I met some scottish people. From what I saw they don't seem to really believe into loyalty and faithfulness in a lover....I told them about Christ, a few of them, and I was together with my ex back then, and they went like: "well how do you know he's still virgin? How do you know he's not cheating on you? listening to what you tell me there's no way you could really know..."
yes, sad thing indeed...

-_-

Are there any other religions there that can be bigger?

*Weird, the biggest soccer teams in Scotland is Rangers and Celtic, Rangers count themselves as protestanic and Celtic as catholic*

I will be praying.
